More On Being A Vain Pot !

Like I said, I've been using OLAY for some years now. I got even more encouraged when I saw a TV ad with Elaine Daly promoting OLAY. Elaine Daly represented Malaysia in the Miss Universe pageant many years ago. AND I think she's the same age as me AND she looks really young.

So, ALL the more I believe in taking care of your skin, regardless of the gender. Using the creams has helped me in reducing adult acnes on my skin unless I don't drink enough water, the acnes would pop out and I would have to resort to using an adult acne product that will heal the skin and of course, make my face look great without any blemishes.

I remember when I was younger, about 12 years old, I would always wash my face with cold water so that the face will look fresh and clean, with no sweats leaving very little potential for acne attacks. I know, you're probably thinking ... 'I didn't know Peter Shankar was such a vain pot " !!! hahhaah, I wouldn't be surprised if you thought so ;) hehehe !

Talk about being vain

OLAY ! Once upon a time they were called 'Oil of Ulan'.

I started using OLAY some years ago. I got captivated with its tagline " 7 anti-aging benefits' and so I started using their mosturizing cream and I love it. It keeps the face moist and soft , plus it it had some effect at making me look younger (that's what people say) AND so I got really encouraged to being consistent in using the cream.

BUT then , the other day I was walking along the cosmetics department at Sunway Pyramid, and I saw a booth selling all OLAY products and I got really excited coz I had wanted to get two other creams, one was a night facial cream, I think it's called 'night mosturizing cream' or something like that and the other one was an eye cream. You know, since a lot of people say I look younger than my age, I became more conscious of my looks, including my eye bags. I didn't want to look silly buying all those OLAY products that day, coz I was alone and didn't want the sales girl to think I was a vain pot so I am now waiting to take my wife there, so I can buy the creams for ME ;) hehehe !

OLAY, Sunway Pyramid, I'm coming ! Just wondering, am I being too vain ?

When you're into something, it's always nice to have somebody do the same thing. And when you come together and share ideas, both parties learn so much. I am pursuing a healthier lifestyle by doing some exercises and eating a good diet. Of course, I need to work on losing weight first because according to the result of my body fat index, I am way beyond my ideal body fat index. It's not even on the borderline. I am glad I am doing this with a friend. She and I would chat over these things. We even discuss diet supplements reviews together. She share her plans and I do too. We're basically learning from each other. The best part of all, we're so encouraged to go on because of the encouragements we get from each other.

Sending gifts and cards for my mom has always been easy. Me and my mom have such similar interests, and finding something special for her for mother’s day has always been a pleasure. Now, though, Father’s Day is fast approaching. What would be a perfect gift for my dad?And sending the best father's day gift to the Philippines would sure be a pleasant surprise for him, but what would he like? I guess I would have to ask my mom about this. But I hope he likes something that would fit my budget, since shipping gift to the Philippines would also cost much. But then again, for a special man like my dad, I think spending for something a little way beyond my budget would not hurt.

I met this lady in church who sells life insurance. Ever since hubby casually inquired about their company, she has never stopped calling us. The thing is, we can never seem to find a good time to sit down and go through the features of her company’s insurance product. She said she already prepared a life insurance policy specifically tailored for hubby. Well, I guess we just have to set aside at least an hour or two to listen to her presentation and ask questions if we have. Honestly I am not that patient to listen to such presentations but well, I will try ( I have to, just so she will stop calling)- HAHA!

Forever Young

There are times that I honestly feel like I look older than my age. I feel young in the inside, but the mirror won’t lie. Blame it on the wrinkles... or the mirror! Haha! I have been searching for the best anti wrinkle eye cream online for days now. I am not a very vain person, but who would not like to look young? You’d feel good when people give your surprised looks when you tell them your age, won’t you? And face it, it would be so flattering when they blurt out loud, “ really? You look younger than your age!” Now, I am singing a song popularized by Rod Stewart, “Forever young”. LOL

Uninterrupted Smile

I always believe it’s healthy to smile. But I have been looking at latest photographs and I realized that when I smile too much, the wrinkles around my eyes are not a pleasant sight at all... then I have these puffy under eye bags because of my late night sleeps. Did I forget to mention the dark circles? Ugh... Now during shower, I have to practice how to smile sometimes. I just have to do a “half-way” smile. Tsk! Then I came across prototype 37c . The product really has good reviews from its users. Hmmm.. I want to have one sometime. Without these wrinkles, I’d be ready for a close up shot, with an uninterrupted smile!

Tedious Job

One of the things I hated doing last time (pre-washing machine era) was doing the laundry. Doing the laundry was one of the most tedious and least appealing tasks for me. It splashed water all over you then you'd go outside under the scorching, burning heat of the sun to dry the clothes you’ve washed. And not only do we need to wash our clothes but also curtains, blankets, outdoor rugs, and table cloths among others. But doing laundry is an inevitable part of our lives, whether you are using the washing machine or doing it by hand. We can’t use disposable clothes or rugs so let us just carry on with our washing with a big smile.

Moderation is the Key

Ever wonder what our life would be without technology? Some people would say that they can’t live without technology. And truly, for almost everyone technology made our life much easier than our ancestor’s. Technology gave birth to Edison’s lightbulb and phonograph, Bell’s telephone, Ford’s model-T, the television, camera, iPod, iPhone, Boeing 747, LCD HDTV and more that makes our lives more comfortable and easier. But let’s not forget that if placed in the wrong hands, technology could cause devastation. So we must always keep in mind that moderation is the key.

I am back from my island breakaway with my sister and a friend in Koh Lipe, Thailand. I can say that it was one of the best islands that I have gone to. Raya Island now comes second. LOL. Of course, I haven't been to all the islands in Thailand. But if I remember correctly, I did a lot of island hopping when I was still based in Phuket, Thailand. They were all a beauty. But Koh Lipe is one unforgettable place. I took a lot of photos and am planning to make a slideshow of the photos I took while there. The best part of it was, we stayed on a hill that overlooked the beautiful sunset beach.

I can't wait to go back there with my family.

Since I am into reading about beauty stuff and all that... I started getting concerned of the things I see on my face. Well, not to the extent of getting obsessed about it. I was just wondering. Of course, it's a fact that I am getting on with the age... and I wonder if it's really a wrinkle I can see on my eye area everytime I smile. I thought probably I would be needing a wrinkle filler soon. But my friend told me they weren't wrinkles. They were just smiling lines. Phew. And I thought I've been catching up with age... My friend then taught me how to clean the skin around the eye area.

And no, it's not me in the photo.

Basic Pancake Recipe

I have ran out of pre-mix pancake. My kids love having them for breakfast and today, they asked me to make pancakes for them. I searched online on some basic pancake recipes and found one that I can make. That meant, I have all the ingredients needed to make one. And I ate two servings of it. Arg. I know it's not the best food, especially now that I am looking for some belly fat burners... but I couldn't resist it. Actually, I just realized that making pancakes from scratch is a lot better compared to making it from a pre-mix box. The one I usually buy is quite expensive. Now I know that my kids can enjoy pancakes in a cheap.

As you all know, I have been doing Hip Hop Abs to make my tummy flatter, in two weeks. Guess what, I didn't reach my goal. I still have a long way to go. 2 weeks is not enough. Probably if I read lipozene reviews and actually take some, two weeks would be ample time to make my tummy flatter. Now that I am back from my island vacay, I would want to continue doing exercises.
