Face Cream

I'm thinking of using a night cream for my face. I think I need to seriously get into the habit of putting a face cream. For now, I am using 3-step skin care from Clinique. Is it true that the collagen face cream can make you look younger? If it is true, I wanna use one. I just want my face to stay young as it is... I don't believe I look older than my age, really... although somebody thought so. And I know I need to take care of my skin. And enjoy it while it's still young and firm.

Her Eyes

You have probably noticed that my girl's eye bags are obvious. I don't know why she's got those bulging eye bags. She doesn't lack sleep. That one I know for sure. But ever since she was a baby... she has those under her eyes already. Now that I mention it, I'm sure you'll go looking for her photo and check whether what I'm saying is true. LOL. Anyways... do you think it's okay to use prototype 37c for her at this age? Hmmm... still too young, I know. Maybe when she gets older and the eye bags don't go away. Then she can use those. For now, I just wanna enjoy how she looks like.

They're Growing Up!

You know you're a mom if your definition of success is when the kids decide to sleep on their own, in their own beds. :D My kids just decided to do that today. I never really trained them to sleep in their own rooms. Although when moved to this house, we have prepare the two rooms for them to use. But somehow, the two didn't wanna leave us. And somehow, we didn't really impose it on them. But today, they just decided (out of the blue) that they're ready to sleep on their own. I think they're starting to leave the nest*. And it feels weird and strange. My kids are growing up.

Kids do grow up and when they do, there's no stopping it. One morning, you wake up and they're ready to have their own family. Gosh! It's too early to think such things. But that's a reality. Perhaps that's what our parents felt the moment we started showing independence.

Pressure Wash

This is a new thing to me. First, you don't have to manually wash your clothes. There's washing machine. Then you don't need to take out your clothes one by one and hang them after. There's dryer. You don't have to wash dishes by hand. There's dishwasher. Then comes the new thing. Pressure washing the floor. Okay. This is done manually but you don't have to do it yourself. You hire this company, they come to your house or office or company and they do it for you. How did I know about this? I have come across this eco-friendly power wash techonology when I was doing a bit of research about power washing.

Considering being green nowadays to preserve our mother earth, we are in constant search for environment friendly stuff. And so, it is good to know that there is such thing as eco-friendly power washing. And if you're in Seattle, there's this company that does Seatttle pressure wash for any surface cleaning up you might need.

Sometimes, when we think of pressure washing, we think it would be expensive because then, the process would require lots of water to use in order to clean the dirty surface. However, in using Mr PressureWash, you don't need to worry about an increased water bill because they don't use up a lot of water. They spray the water and then vacuum it up straight away to save it for another use. Also, they don't use harsh chemicals. Instead, they use that special enzyme technology to take off the tough stains. I think those make this pressure washing environment friendly. You can read more pressure washing articles online to compare the difference before deciding which company to use.

Headache

I haven't been working for two days now. I blame it on the terrible headache. Today, the whole day, I didn't write at all. But I have to. And so I asked the hubby to buy me panadol. I took two tablets and now I'm feeling much better. It's hard to get sick when you have something to do. Some sickness could be avoided and some couldn't. Some that can't be avoided are those viruses you get from other people. Some that can be avoided are those you get from being unhealthy i.e. sleeping late, waking up early, eating unhealthy food, etc. Those can contribute to stress. I think if I don't stop and relax, I would be running to get a hold of term life insurance prices by now. LOL. Anyways, I have decided to lay low a bit. Get my full night's sleep, having a balanced diet, etc. And so, to make me have a good jumpstart to my resolution, I'm gonna go sleep early... at 2 in the morning. LOL. Anyways, I had a long afternoon nap with the kids. That's why I'm still feeling so fresh and awake. Seriously, I need to hit the sack... like right now. Good night, everyone!

For the Love of It

I have been enjoying my new pair of flip flops. I haven't taken a photo of it yet. So now everywhere I go, I wear it. It actually looks like sandals, but slip on type. It's quite comfortable, it's like mbt. :D Anyways, my friend was surprised to see how many pairs of shoes/sandals/flip flops I have. I think I got this love-of-shoes thingy from my sister who used to buy me a lot. She herself loves buying shoes. And every time she buys, she must buy two pairs. I can only afford to buy one pair at a time. Nevertheless, it must run in our genes, the loves of shoes.

Weekend

My kids wanna go to Banting to spend their weekend with their grannies. But my mom-in-law is going to have a check up appointment on Saturday so they can't go there. You see... my mom-in-law has been suffering from high blood pressure lately. I think she needs an oximeter to monitor her blood count, or something like that. Her blood pressure really soars up that she could hardly breathe. Anyways... it's not good for her to be exposed to some unnecessary noises like my kids'. SO it's better that she gets enough rest before sending our kids to spend time with them

I want to age gracefully and so I do everything I can to take care of my skin. I have bought quite a few books about taking care of skin and stuff like that. But I just realized that some of the books I have are quite obsolete. And so for a filler on new stuff, I usually search online on skin care oils buying guide. This way, I could keep up with the newest stuff, especially for health and beauty products. Shopwiki has a very detailed and comprehensive buying guide for just about anything.

Busy, Busy

Like I said in my previous post, we've been busy this year hosting friends in our house. All of us love having friends come and stay with us. The kids get to go to places they miss going... like Sunway Club. It has been two weeks in a row that we've been going there. And since it's near, we've been going to Sunway Pyramid too. Last night, after attending the Thanksgiving service in church, we went to Sunway Pyramid. We came home late... and guess what... I was too tired to wash my face. Ugh. I know that if you don't wash your face at night, especially when wearing make up, can cause blackheads and early ageing. I know that there are home remedies for blackheads but still, it's good to prevent than to cure, right. But in my case, when I miss washing my face before sleeping at night, I would have whiteheads instead. :(

Ikea

I miss going to Ikea. I think the last time the family went there was in December last year. So now it's almost half a year has gone and we haven't gone back there. We've been really busy this year and I think we have to make an effort just to go there. I was just reminded of Ikea when our boy's room's door hardware, the door knob, got stuck. Now it doesn't want to un-click back to its original un-lock mode. Maybe I'll just to the nearer d-i-y (do-it-yourself) shop and buy one and have it fixed. Or maybe call a locksmith. Hmmm... better idea.

Chicken Macaroni Soup

This year, I started trying to cook most of the time at home. Of course I used to cook a lot last time too but sometimes, I would ask hubby to buy outside food. But I thought cooking at home would be much cheaper. The kids love pasta. So I cook pasta most of the time. But I have to vary the dishes too as eating same dishes can get very boring. I love pasta too. So everytime I cook pasta, I could eat like crazy. I think I need to visit www.adipexdietpills.org for some diet tips. :D

Anyways, I cooked this one day, chicken macaroni soup. It's not an elbow macaroni though... but my kids sooo loved it. So did I. I also love pasta pesto... I tried cooking once (pesto is a very expensive sauce lah!) but my kids didn't like the taste of the sauce. Will have to look for more pasta recipes.

My Kids' Craft Time

I am not a crafty person. Oppsss... that sounded not so nice. LOL. But really, I dislike doing crafts. I am not patient enough do follow through. I have started doing cross-stitching when I was in high school but never finished them. I tried my hands on crocheting but I disliked how it gave pain to my hands and my back... not to mention my eyes.

But this time with my kids, I have to do it with them. Like I always say... kids can make your life turn 180 degrees. They make you think of so many things like staying healthy by thinking about doing healthy stuff... may it be a proper diet or finding out the best colon cleanser ever. They make you feel young sometimes too. Although there are bad days and you feel like pulling your hair. But kids are kids.

You can tell my girl loves pink so much. She has to have a pink chair, pink clothes, pink stuff to do. I remember I got conscious of colors only when I was already in my primary years... I had my favorites but then again, it was impossible to impose.

I Want to Buy this Car

I went to pick my girl up from school yesterday. And coming back time, we passed by a red Volkswagen car. My girl touched it and said, Mommy, I want to buy this car. I asked why. She said because it's small. It's good for me. So I said it is very expensive. You don't have enough money. And she said, I got, in my wallet, I have money.

LOL.

It was funny. Just because the car was small, she thought it's not expensive to buy it. I say, get an auto insurance quote first, then you know. Hehehe.

Anyways, my boy went for his school trip to KLCC yesterday. So I went back to school at 2pm to pick him up.

Rooibos Soap

I love Rooibos tea. Any chance a friend goes to South Africa, I would surely ask to buy me a few packs of it. Rooibos is locally grown in South Africa and it's the only tea that is caffeine free. I used to drink it a lot when I was pregnant.

Now the surprise was, our recent guest from South Africa brought me Rooibos soap bar and body scrub. I didn't know you can make soap out of Rooibos too. I knew that Rooibos tea is good for children's eczema and probably good for scalp pimples too... but I didn't know you can actually make other products aside from tea. And so... my Rooibos soap and body scrub pack is sitting on my bathroom shelf... untouched. I don't want to finish it fast. Hehehe.
