I Miss Singapore

When my husband and I were newly married, we would go to Singapore at least once a year just for a visit.

Last year when my parents came over for a two-month visit, I took them to Singapore for a couple of days. That was the last time I went to Singapore. But I really loved our time there. Since we were there for only a couple of days, we hit Sentosa Island and Orchard Road. These two places are not-to-be-missed places while in Singapore.

Sentosa Island is tagged as Asia's favorite playground. You can spend a day there and realize it's not enough to cover everything.

Things you can do and visit in Sentosa Island include:

1. A visit to Universal Studios
2. Hang around either of the beaches, Palawan Beach and Siloso Beach.
3. Visit Fort Siloso
4. Visit the Underwater World
5. See Singapore's icon, the Merlion.
6. You may experience the Song of the Sea as a finale of your visit in Sentosa. It's a spectacular waterworks show in the evening.

Things to do in Orchard Road.

1. Go shopping.
2. Go shopping some more.

 LOL.

It's pretty much a haven for shopaholics.

If you're looking into what you can do for a family trip this school vacation, you may check out www.dialaflight.com and plan a trip to Singapore.

I might do just that since I am missing Singapore so much.

Brazil Trip

The husband has been invited for a trip to Brazil. Before you get so excited, hold it off before I finish this. LOL. It is very expensive to go to Brazil. If I want to go with my husband, I need to save for a few months before I can come up with just my return airfare.

And besides, I have nobody to leave the kids with if I go. That, or a promise of a family trip for our next trip. So there's no way I can go with the hubs, financially-wise and kids wise.

Is my husband going tough? That is still yet to see. There are too many things involve if he confirms to go.

Anyways, it would really be nice to go to Brazil, considering it's once in a lifetime opportunity.

And so we'll just settle with a plan for a family trip somewhere nearby. And if we can get one of those cheap egypt holidays, why not, right?

You can tell my feet are itching to travel again. It has been such a long time. Wait. The most recent family trip was in December. Not too long ago. It feels that way though.  But I want to keep the promise of taking the kids with us on our next trip.

I hope by the time I am ready to go, we still get the opportunity to go to Brazil, with the kids.

Communication Book

I just got Samantha's Communication Book from her school. Coomunication Book is for parents' notification from the teacher or from the school. it is to announce to parents kids' activities that would be happening.

Today, we got a school year calendar. I looked at the holiday dates and started dreaming of one of those Branson vacation packages. It is our goal that our family goes for a break once or twice a year.

And so this year, we have planned for one family trip. Not sure what we're going to do for our second one.

And it's always nice to get notification from the school about their school break so we could plan our family holiday properly. I wouldn't want the kids to miss school just because we're out there holidaying.

I'll just have to check Schenker's block off dates so we can reconcile our family breakaway with both of their school holidays.
