My kids had been having regular visitors these days - all of them Schenker's classmates in his school. One of the blessings we have here is that 3 other kids from these housing area go to Schenker's class. And they all like to go to the park. Since our house is just across the park, the kids would come here too and play with my 2 kids. Shcneker would normally take them straight away to his room. They would play there for a long time. I am glad because I don't want them to be playing in my living room and mess up everything. My living room furniture is new and I wanna keep it for a very long time. So I'm keeping them safe by having the kids play in my boy's room. Speaking of furniture though, I wonder how much a patio furniture would cost? It would be nice to have one of those in our patio.
Anyways, last night, Hui En only left at about 11 pm. She and her mother (and one other) came to our house to talk about something. Hui En's mom is Indonesian Chinese and can only speak Bahasa (little English). So when we talk, my hubby would be there to interpret for me. She's actually an inspiration because the last time I saw her, she was rather on the plus-sized side. Now, she's very thin.
Would like to have more of her coming to my house so I can dig out her secret.
So when they left last night, I told Hui En she could come to the house and play with Schenker and Samantha everyday. LOL.

We have finally done re-painting the old house. It took 3 days for hubby and me to finish the painting. Painting is fun but it's quite a tiring job. It's good for exercise that if you wanna lose weight, you don't need to pop in some diet pills. Just paint a house and in 3 days, you'll be amazed at how much weight you lose. LOL.
Anyways, we didn't have to do that. But we felt that it was a right thing to do. When the owners gave us the house to use, it was spotless. Now almost 3 years later, it has become a mural to my kids' artwork. And I'm sure you can imagine how it would look like.
So we thought it would be embarrassing to give them back the house in that condition. And besides, they're very generous to us (by giving us a lower than standard house rent) that we wanna show our gratitude by making it spic and span when they move in too.

I have been blogging about moving out of our old house and moving in to a new house for the past few months. If you ask me whether we have finally settled in, I think, yes, we have. There are just little little things that need to be done but the majority of the work is finally done.
I like our new house better. There's some kind of a homey feeling in it. There is a small lawn in front of the house, and a little space at the back for gardening. My father has started planting vegetables there and they're already growing! We can have vegetable for free once they're grown.
Our room now is smaller than that in our previous house. But one thing I like about our room now is there's already two built-in cabinets with lots of compartments. I hope to be more organized in this house. Also, we have put up our bed frame already. I bought a new set of bedding to go with it. I bought it from Akemi for a 70% discounted rate. We don't really use bed wedges. But I am glad that our bed is finally up. Our room looks more cozy now.
My parents are pretty much comfortable. They're using Samantha's room now. I am glad to be able to move in and settle everything before they arrived. It is a blessing to have parents around from time to time. I am glad it is possible for us to do that. Thank you, Lord!
