I was browsing the internet about medical malpractice when I chanced upon Topamax lawsuit. I was so surprised that many health practitioners, despite being in their field for so long are still committing mistakes that later on pose a life changing event in their patients.
It is saddening that some of them are too lax or plain negligent that they give wrong diagnosis or prescription. The worst part is them getting away with what they did and others will also be victimized. This happens when the victims do not act to protect their welfare. But when they do and it was proven in the court, justice is given and no one else will become at victim. So if you have bad experience with your health care provider, make it known. It is your right, use it and protect it.

This is a really good post about the potential risks of Topamax. If a pregnant woman, or woman who may become pregnant takes this medication, it greatly increases the chance that the baby will suffer from the birth defects cleft lip and cleft palate. The FDA has advised that women who are or may become pregnant not take Topamax for the safety of their child.
