i am thankful for Iris for initiating this thankful thursday where we can post what we are thankful about each week. and this week, i wanna thank God:
- for friends. it's been a long while since i haven't been going out with friends. last week, my friend asked me out for a movie. so we watched made of honour movie last tuesday. i had a good laugh. a good breather from being at home with family 24/7.
- for my boy' progress in school. we had a parent-teacher's meeting last Friday where the teacher will have time to evaluate and update parents their student's progress in that term. i am thankful that my boy has picked up fast, from having a rough and slow start.
- for the word of God that was spoken last sunday. God is looking for servants to listen to him and obey him, not leaders (will have to do a separate post about this because it might raise some kind of conflict). i was just reminded that it didn't matter what we do. what matters most is the kind of attitude we put in when we do work. for humility sows an eternal treasure and pride sows nothing.
- while our american friends are thankful for their freedom (in fact they are celebrating it tomorrow, on the 4th of July), i am also thankful that we also have freedom where i live in. not the same degree of freedom with US folks, but here, we are also free to worship God. that is something to thank God for.
what are you thankful about this week?
Janet,
Great list for TT. Isn't it great that we both have the freedom to worship and pray as we please.
Have a blessed TT and a safe 4th of July.
Cheryl
freedom to worship our Lord is a blessing in itself. happy TT.

Great TT lists. It's good to know little Peter is making progress in school. Awesome kid!
I love watching movies, it does help you relax. It's good you were able to enjoy one.
Happy TT to you Janet,
So blessed to read things are going well for you, especially with your son in school.
Thanking God for you today, you have such a grateful heart.
Blessings to you and your family♥
What a wonderful list of things to be thankful for! God bless you for sharing your heart full of gratitude with us. You wrote: i was just reminded that it didn't matter what we do. what matters most is the kind of attitude we put in when we do work." AMEN! I have to remember that.
So glad your little boy is improving! It is wonderful we live in freedom. Zimbabwe is going through terrible times with this. We are thankful!!
Hi Janet,
I understand what you mean when you say that might cause some conflict - these days all people want to talk about is how to be a leader. But my dad always talks about 'servant leadership'. I think that was what Christ displayed.
Thanks for this, great TT.
Great post! I am thankful for my freedoms as well. I live in a wonderful country where I am free to do as I choose. I am thankful for 2 beautiful daughters who have found their way in life, and I am thankful for my health.
