Häagen-Dazs Shake at Midvalley Megamall

I admit it. I sinned. I indulged. I couldn't resist the temptation. My husband and I left the Kids at MegaKidz to play while he and I window shopped. We got a bit thirsty and started looking for a coffee shop.

We saw Häagen-Dazs corner and saw they had a place where you can sit and hang around. I was really battling at the thought of getting another Häagen-Dazs because I just had one the previous week. But I couldn't resist it and I agreed to have Häagen-Dazs shake, vanilla with cookies and cream, please.

If you're a Häagen-Dazs lover, you would know that their ice cream is quite rich. I had a disappointment in my life when my shake tasted so diluted. The hubs also ordered iced lemon tea. When I sipped his drink, the iced lemon tea tasted richer than the shake.

Was it because of the flavor? I paid 24.90RM just for the shake and all I got was a diluted ice cream shake... it almost felt like I was strawing milk. Milk shakes in McDonalds probably are richer.

I think that's how they make their Häagen-Dazs shake. I am not going to pay 24RM, ever again, just to get a diluted shake. Might as well buy one pint that costs 30RM and make my own shake.

Anyways, here was my smile just before the sip. I was all soooo looking forward to a rich taste of Häagen-Dazs shake.

Probably, it's worth giving another try, just for the benefit of the doubt. I will go to the outlet in Sunway Pyramid, order the same flavour ice cream for a shake and see whether it tastes and feels the same. Hmmm...

Challenge accepted.

Kids' Dreams

I want to be a Pilot.

You can't be a pilot. You're a girl. (Yeah, I know. That's a silly statement)

Okay. I want to be a Pilot Teacher, then.

That's basically my conversation with my little girl. It's funny how we, parents, take our kids' what-I-want-to-be-when-I-grow-up talks. But then again, it's always nice to hear our kids telling us what they want to be when they grow up.

We change our ambitions overtime. One time, my son, Schenker, wanted to be a motorcyclist. Why not, I’d tell him. All he would need would be to buy some tourmaster jackets, a good bike and yes, lots of training and guts! Then he would not be that far from reaching his dreams.

Now, you ask him what he wants to be. There's one adamant answer:

I want to be an archaeologist, Mommy.

Long Holidays

Whenever we have a long holiday like the one we have now, I have more time being the old domestic diva that I was. I know I am supposed to enjoy the holidays by getting more sleep or doing what I love to do like blogging or taking photos, but I also take the opportunity to clean the house up, look at things that need repair, repainting or replacement.

I wish we could have one of those rustic lighting in our living room. It’s probably one of the things that hubby and I need to look into on our next shopping trip. Speaking of shopping, yes, holidays do give me more time to shop!

Retirement Plans

One of the things that young people fail to think about are their retirement plans. Many just work so hard all their lives , working from one job to another forgetting that they grow older each year -- and that each time they turn a year older, they are also a year closer to their retirement. I myself have not given this enough thought, to be honest.

I have searched online about getting retirement plans and always, there are suggestions to look into things like to get annuity rates as well. This got me all curious, and I found out how important it is to have an annuity with my retirement plan. It’s always best not just to live for the moment. I believe that we are also given the wisdom to think and plan for our future. Have you given your retirement careful planning yet?

I am not a sweet tooth but when it comes to ice cream, I definitely cannot say no to Häagen-Dazs. My favorite flavour would be Haagen-Dazs Macadamia Nut.

I wasn't feeling well last night so my husband thought I could need a cheering up. So he left the house and when he came back, he showed me this.

It absolutely lifted up my spirit!

But then again, I fell asleep so early. So yeah, today after school, I'm going to devour my favorite ice cream, Haagen-Dazs Macadamia Nut.

It is not ice cream if it's not Häagen-Dazs. Agree? :P

Comfy Like Clouds

Having outdoor cushion for furniture placed outdoors is really relaxing. When I just want to read a book outside or just simply watch the world go by (when I have the time), I stay outside and chill out on the cozy chair.

Sometimes, the gentle breeze and the cool air lull me to sleep and dream of my favorite holiday destination and enjoying bonding moments with my family. Snug and fluffy cushion make seating more comfortable.

If I get the chance to visit the home section in the mall soon, I would love to have new cushions, those that feel like you are in the clouds. I hope I can find something like that here.
