Internet Marketing

Have you aught up with the hype yet? Or are you still using the old school of paper advertising? With people nowadays hooked to computers and internet, I guess, one can't help but join the bandwagon.

Nowadays, we see ads on tv and internet. I, for one, don't read newspapers anymore. If I want a news, Google is substantially enough for me.

And if you're into business and you want your business to grow, you can easily
create email campaigns so that people will see it fresh from the pot. Except of course, if the emails has been forwarded and forwarded. LOL.

Anyways, like I said on my status on facebook before, internet is the new advertising and big media companies are now feeling threatened.

Health is Wealth

Health is an issue one can never neglect for everything depends on it. A healthy person means someone who is capable to do their work without any physical difficulties and extra stress experienced. To be healthy one should be fit, eat the right foods, have a sound and harmonic body, soul, and mind, and to be able to achieve things they want to achieve.

There are many ways to be healthy and one is to monitor ones health through regular check-ups. One can never be too prepared so it’s best to know your body every time. Having regular sessions of colon cleanser or Pap smear is practical because they are steps to avoid certain kinds of cancer.

Customary monitoring not only decreases the chance of acquiring a disease but it also lessens future expenses because now you are prepared and so you could plan for the future.

After all, health is wealth!

Doing Nothing

As stay at home moms, we found it weird to be doing nothing on our mommy holiday. One afternoon we just stared at the beach munching our snacks. It’s as if time went by so slow. It normally just rushes by when you are busy with kids and unending housework.

It would have been nice if we rode in one of those little boats on a late afternoon, with marine speakers blaring with music as we watched the sunset, but we did not do that. Our photo shoots highlighted our afternoon after we just lazily sat on the shore, talked about anything under the sun.

It’s good to be busy and it’s a sin to be lazy, but we do need some time to just enjoy the joys of doing... nothing! Don’t you agree, super moms?

Signing in from Hatyai, Thailand

Sawatdee kha! Hatyai!

I am finally here.

I haven't checked in to my hotel yet, though. But I'm with my friend Renel who picked me up from Central Hotel, where the bus dropped us off.

It's good to be back here.

There is a line up of things to do today and I am very excited.

I just need to check in to my hotel first so I can freshen up and rest a bit.

I was surprised that there were not a lot of people lining up at both the Malaysian and Thai Immigration today. I was already preparing myself to line up... as I was telling my friend Lalaine, I would just brace myself because when I tried booking for my train ticket from Kuala Lumpur to Hatyai, it said the bookings were full for Friday. Saturday and Sunday.

And so I thought there would be a lot of people at the Immigration because it is also Malaysia's school holiday.

But anyways... I praise God for the smooth journey.

What can I say?

I love to be in Thailand.

Spa in Hatyai?

It has been long since I haven't done any spa. I thought of doing a do-it-yourself spa, but until now I haven't done it yet.

In fact, I am so tempted to take that promotion of [87% Off] RM49 only for 60 minutes of Oxygen Facial with Eye Treatment + 20 minutes Chromo Light Therapy Steam Bath + 20 min Back Massage. The usual price for that package is RM386. Do you think it's worth taking that promo?

But I am also thinking twice because I am going to Hatyai. I might not be able to claim it.

Anyways, will see if I can do spa in Hatyai.

There are really spa treatments that are therapeutic. Take for example, cold therapy that is done to relieve muscle and joint pain. But you have to be extra careful not to overdo it as it can cause more damage than treatment. So if you go for cold treatments, make sure you go to the experts. But of course, if cold therapy will go wrong, there are always people to help you with a cold therapy lawsuit. Sometimes, some personal injuries are not your fault so you might need help to sort it out.

And while we're at it, you may check out:

National Car

Most people in Malaysia like to buy their much owned National Cars because of its affordability compare to imported cars. This is actually one of the reasons why my husband chooses to buy the locally made car. There are two big automobile companies in Malaysia. The first and the biggest is the Perusahaan Otomobil Nasional which is commonly known as Proton. They manufacture their cars based on Mitsubishi parts and technology. Since 1985, Proton has produce three million cars and therefore increasing its market share in the country.

Second to Proton is Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Berhad which is widely known as Perodua. This company is a manufacturer of small and compact car. This is normally the cheaper alternative to Proton. Which I think is the very reason why small cars are widely used in Malaysia.

I might find these small and compact cars cool and suitable to female drivers like me, but I have to take into consideration its safety side. As the car gets smaller and cheaper, they might have omitted some safety measure to save both cost and space which may increase the chances of a car accident. As Attorney Austin suggest, we should be clever enough in choosing our car. Don’t dare try to risk your family’s safety. Be smart in choosing your wheels.

Tsunami Warning in Hawaii after Earthquake in Japan

My sister lives somewhere here...

I just came back from a family day and when I checked my facebook, my friend Lalaine asked me how my sister was. I was wondering why she asked me.

Then I read, there's a tsunami warning in Hawaii that would extend in some parts of Mexico and in some coastal parts in the Philippines after a strong magnitude of 8.9 earthquake hit Japan today.

My sister and her husband live in Hawaii. And for the second time that my sister is there, there's a yet another tsunami warning.

Please let us pray that tsunami will not prevail... I know God is in control... and I know there is power in prayer. No tsunami, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Thanks for praying with me.

Love and Other Drugs

I just got into it. I know a lot of people were talking about this movie a few month's back. Curiosity got into me. It always does, by the way... And so when I got the chance, I bought some peanuts, coke... put the kids to sleep early, and put the movie on.

I was so excited to see Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. It looked a bit romantic and funny and witty... but wait... I just realized it's one of those Hollywood movies that I wouldn't want to show my kids. Sigh.

Looks like the movie is endorsing some other drugs. I wouldn't be surprised that before the movie finishes, they already invented some drugs that could take away nicotine, especially from those cotinine test positive people.

But then again, I'm half-way through the movie. So I wouldn't know now. I better finish the movie now.

Love and Other Drugs.

Anne Hathaway is soooo gorgeous. LOL.

Burlesque

I got to watch Burlesque with the hubs today at Summit USJ, GSC Cinema.

The Burlesque Lounge has its best days behind it. Tess, a retired dancer and owner of the venue, struggles to keep the aging theater alive, facing all kinds of financial and artistic challenges. With the Lounge's troupe members becoming increasingly distracted by personal problems and a threat coming from a wealthy businessman's quest to buy the spot from Tess, the good fortune seems to have abandoned the club altogether. Meanwhile, the life of Ali, a small-town girl from Iowa, is about to change dramatically. Hired by Tess as a waitress at the Lounge, Ali escapes a hollow past and quickly falls in love with the art of burlesque. Backed by newfound friends amongst the theater's crew, she manages to fulfill her dreams of being on stage herself. Things take a dramatic turn though when Ali's big voice makes her become the main attraction of the revue. source: imbd.com

Burlesque is starred by the famous singers Cher and Christina Aguilera. It's my first time to take a close look at Christina actually. LOL. And I thought she's quite cute.

Anyways, the story was quite entertaining as it really shows the life in Hollywood. Not that I have ever lived in Hollywood and I knew how they lived.

But I had a chance to walked around Hollywood and thought you could do anything you want and nobody would care.

Then there was Rodeo Street where there was a shopping haven for the well off... I could only look and wish from afar. But I saw this scene - an old white man driving a convertible. He was driving around Rodeo Street. I knew because we were waiting for our friend to pick us up. Then he stopped right in front of that Louis Vuitton Boutique and minutes later, there were three ladies that came, hopped into the convertible and drove he did, all of them giggling and what not. Just an ordinary scene in Hollywood, I guess.

And so while watching Burlesque, I could relate in some parts where she did some dance practice while walking on the streets.

Anyways, if you want to be entertained, go watch Burlesque.
