Another Before and After Shot

Here's another set of before and after shots I took yesterday. It's Claire. Family calls her Clara. She's a pretty girl indeed but after the make-up... she doesn't only look pretty. She looks dashing too. Amazing how make up can make a difference to somebody's looks. Some people prefer natural beauty though. I can't blame them for that. For some, they use make up to enhance their natural beauty... with the right make up of course. Some people just simply swipe colors on their faces so instead of doing make up, it's like their faces are being drawn colors.

In life, there are many choices. It's just a matter of making a right choice. It's the same with buying insurance policies. You look for life insurance quotes before you can decide which policy suits your best.

Choice. Make it right.

Before and After

Spent almost the whole day of photo shoot session with friends. They came over for barbecue and after that we ended up taking photos too. It was so fun as they did whatever I asked them to do. My friend Maria was worried about her wrinkles... but then again, with a little bit of help from concealer and foundation, we minimized the visibility of her wrinkles. Apparently, she hasn't been using anti wrinkle cream for her face. I also didn't ask her if she plans to do so. Would I use it for my face when time comes? Dunno yet.

In the US, it's summer time and most of the students are on summer vacation. But some students go for boot camps. One of the boot camps to join is the SAT Summer Boot Camp by Knewton. If you're doing a sat prep, you might want to consider going this August with Knewton. They offer free program which requires active participation. Open to the first 300 students whose guardians or parents have confirmed.

Friends' Visit

Like I posted earlier, we had some friends who came to our house last night. They were quite surprised to see me and actually asked me if I use any weightloss products for myself. They said I had really lost weight, to my delight. I have been on workout break for a few days now. I blame it to my once-a-month-only-women-can-get-this-type-of-thing thingy. LOL. But really, I was pleased to know I have been making some progress with my weight loss program. But I really have to re-start today. I'm actually missing doing it already. I guess it's already in my system. Thank God.

Barbecue, Again

I love hosting barbecue parties. Last night, some Filipino friends came to the house and we did barbecue. It was really fun. I think barbecue is healthy as you don't need oil to cook your food with. The only thing was, I also barbecued pork fats. LOL. I just loved it. Well, of course, we all did. Now we need that most effective diet pills so we can burn the fats we put into our bodies last night. :D Well, I guess, once in a while is okay. I just need to go back to my workout routine and I hope to do it today.
Note: the image above wasn't the pork we barbecued last night. It was from the previous one I did for my family.

Undecided

Our boy is going to primary school next school year (Gosh, time flies so fast). We are still undecided where to send him to school. We registered him in two schools, one is a reserve and one is where I really really like for him to go. But the latter one is very expensive. In order for him to go, we need to get some kind of sponsorship. That's the only way to go. But the question is: are we willing to go to great lengths just to raise that ridiculous amount? Or do we just content ourselves with a 100% possibility of getting subsidized by the "reserved" one? It's only his primary school. But this time is so crucial that whatever or wherever school we decide to send him will have a lifetime effect. And so, I have been reading all sorts of school reviews nowadays, on top of the diet pill reviews I have been doing. Homeschooling is another option though. But that would be the last resort. For now, we need to really pray and hear from God.

Helping Out

My girl likes to help me out when it's cooking time. So I let her cut some vegetables on her own, using her favorite pink plastic knife. It's nice to see her working with me in the kitchen. It truly brings a smile to my wrinkled face. LOL. Seriously, smiling helps a lot of wrinkle appearance prevention. I always believe in prevention is better than cure. But oftentimes, one can't help it but look for ways to cure if using wrinkle creams for prevention don't work. Of course, one cannot prevent wrinkles. Sooner or later, they appear. It's just a matter of time. And when you have kids that can make you smile, I guess, it's later than sooner.

Frustrated

It's been frustrating to wait on something. It's okay for me if there are delays. I am very gracious with time nowadays. But to actually wait for nothing is a different story. This furniture shop where we bought our couch set rang and said they were coming at 3 pm the other day to fix the torn part of our couch. Then I waited. At around 5pm, they called again and said they were coming at around 6pm. I waited again. But nobody came. Made me think that if I bought the modern furniture instead, would it delay the tearing part? Not so sure now. But it's really frustrating that until now, nobody has come to fix the tear. And it's still under warranty. Hopefully, they won't come next month, fix the torn part, and ask for payment because it's no longer under free warranty. That would really be a bid disappointment.

Brazil Vs Holland

Tonight, Friday, at 10:00 o'clock, Brazil and Holland are going to play a match for the World Cup. I saw how Holland beat Slovakia. Holland's defense was truly amazing. But with Brazil's speed, I am not sure if Holland's defense will still work.

I am planning to watch the game tonight on our tv on one of those tv stands. If you ask me who my team is... I say, it's definitely Brazil.

I do support this team. Like I said in my status update in facebook, some of the world cup players from Brazil came to Malaysia a couple of years ago to do a charity match to raise funds for the cyclone victims in Myanmar. It was truly noble to see these guys using their skills for a noble cause.

Go Brazil!

Engagement in Ipoh

Tomorrow we're going to Ipoh to attend my husband's cousin's engagement ceremony. They're going to get married in December and I would like to assume that after the engagement ceremony, they would be busy making then sending their wedding invitations. I planned to wear Punjabi suit tomorrow but since Uncle asked me to carry one of the flower baskets, I would have to wear a saree. The problem is... all my saree blouses are too tight for me. And so, we're going to do an emergency saree blouse shopping tonight when my husband comes home from work.

Audemars Piguet

Just curious... what did you all get for your father and/or husband on Father's day? Like I posted a couple of day's ago, the kids and I took my husband for a nice dinner at Manhattan Fish MNarket and had flame-grilled fish and prawns with fresh vegetables and chips.

I so wished I could afford one Audemars Piguet for the hubby... but since I just threw my savings to upgrade my camera, I couldn't afford to buy any of this. Not that I could afford even with savings. Maybe if I save some more, I would be able to get one. Hmmmm. Who knows.

9 People

Can you imagine 9 people sitting in a 5-seater car? That's what exactly we did these past few days. We've been taking our friends out for a meal and we've been having a hard time calling for a cab because everytime we meet up, it's a peak hour. So we ended up crowding in the car.

I'm not sure whether this is allowed in other countries. In the Philippines, it's pretty normal to see things like this. We can even accommodate 5 or more people on one motorbike! LOL.

It's a different story with a truck though, especially if it's open behind. You can actually accommodate people without trouble. In the US, there's this Texas Truck accident lawyer just in case something happens to your truck while driving.

I just thank God He has been protecting our driving in and out.

My Girl and I

One thing I like having a tripod is that I can take photo of myself. I just set the timer and then run and pose... I took this one outside our home before going out for dinner with friends.

My dream is to take a photo of my girl wearing equestrian apparel and riding a horse. But not too soon though. Maybe in her teen years. For now, it's just snapping whatever she's wearing.

No More Trouble Zone

I have downloaded another workout but I don't want to start until I finish the other program I have been doing. I actually started last week, but during the weekend, I took a break. So I had to re-start this week which was on Monday. I am not sure whether I would still count the days covered last week.

I was just going to watch the video by Jillian Michael's No More Trouble Zone. I want to know what types of exercises covered in this workout. Then my boy saw it and decided he wanted to do it too. And so, he did.

This amused Mommy couldn't help but take pictures of him doing the workout. He looked awkward almost all of the time... but he did some of the exercises properly. He is so getting grown up already. The next thing I know, I think he would already ask for iphone witj iphone accessories. LOL. Kids nowadays know so much about gadgets and stuff so it won't be a surprise. Would I give him at such a young age? Definitely not. I don't even have my own.

Anyways... back to my workout... I'm still on my 3rd day for my 2nd attempt to do the 30-day Shred workout by Jillian Michaels. So I have a long way to go.
