My son's friend, Sanjay, invited him for a bowling as part of his birthday gift from Sanjay's Aunt. And so, we all tagged along the other day.
We went to Sunway Pyramid Mall at their Mega lanes and took two lanes for 3 families. One lane was for parents and one lane was for the kids. They sure had lanes for the kids, too, having boarders on the side to make sure the bowling ball hits the pins.
We were amazed at Samantha who did a strike once and a second top scorer among the other 5 kids, all of which were older than she was. She even scored higher than her father. LOL.

The kids had so much fun. I am sure we will go back there for more bowling sessions.

I wonder if Veggietales has promotional mugs? There are some products I know that use mugs for promotion. Or even a welcome gift.
Anyways... I got a bit off topic... but this I say, I love every Veggietales cd my kids have. I first saw Veggietales when I was in Phuket, way back almost 10 years ago and I thought I would definitely want my kids to see the programs. Now that I have kids, I am glad they are loving Veggietales too.

Yesterday, we went to Midvalley Megakidz to meet up with friends Steph and Josiet with their kids. It has been a long time since we didn't go to Megakidz. The kids had fun playing around. Will post pics later. I am actually just waiting for steph to post some pics. Her photos are a lot better than mine.

I'm doing a children seminar again tomorrow. It's so timely that the kids are not around. Of course, I'd be happy if they went with me. It helps them a lot when it comes to exposure... and to see their mommy teaching. But sometimes, when they're around, teaching becomes more challenging. I've been doing this kids' seminar in Malaysia for 6 years now. I use the same program over and over again. No matter how many times I have done this, I still get that public speaking anxiety. Not sure why. I thought before that once you do it many times, you'd definitely overcome the fear of speaking in front of people. But I still get that anxiety. Maybe it's because everytime I do it, I want to make sure that everything goes smoothly. And sure, everytime, it goes on smoothly. But I still get nervy no matter what.

Today is his third session. The image above was taken on his second session. Apparently, they are given a situation. Then they would act on a situation, with facial expressions. They are taught how to speak loudly and clearly without sounding like they're screaming.
Of course, the sister is exposed to it as well. She imitates her brother a lot. She has a long time to wait for her turn though.

Last night, my boy asked me again if I could talk Tagalog. I talked Tagalog and again, he was giggling to the max. Then he asked me to sing Tagalog song also. And you know what I sang? Our Philippine National Anthem, Bayang Magiliw. LOL. Lupang Hinirang, I know, I know. I was just kidding. So I sang the song... with my not-so-good voice. After I sang the song, the boy exclaimed: "Mommy, that's a very nice song!" Hehehe. What can I say? The Philippine song is just sweet to the ears. I am glad he likes the song. Now I know what Tagalog song to teach him.I was actually searching for the song Lupang Hinirang in Youtube and I saw charice pempengco's rendition. It was awesome. I also saw Regine Velasquez' rendition of the Philippine national anthem and she really sang it beautifully. She has that soothing voice. But the best video of all that I've seen was that of Sarah Geronimo's. She just sang with passion and pride. I loved that.

Okay. I will be diverting my topic now from health to house safety. Having children around the house is not very easy. you have to make sure everything is children proof or children friendly. My boy is very cautious so it's not a problem having him playing around without supervision sometimes. But my girl... she's very adventurous. She would try her hands at practically everything. She wants to touch this and that, jump here and there, run around the house, etc. I always make sure that my kitchen is safe... meaning no knives or box cutter, or any sharp objects that's lying around. I know it's good for her to learn from her experience but when it comes to safety, we just can't afford for her to learn the painful and dangerous way.
